Swan House ski trip
Zermatt at the foot of the matterhorn, has evolved from it's original farming roots, through to nineteenth century prominence as the leading European mountaineering destination, and on to it's present status as possibly the finest ski resort of all.

The village architecture is an interesting mix of sensitively designed chalet style buildings alongside traditional eighteenth and nineteenth century alpine log cabins.

The entire village is car free with the only transport being either the free ski buses (courtesy of lift pass) electric mini taxis or horse drawn sleds.

None-skiers can also enjoy Zermatt by visiting the ice caves; riding over the glacier crevasses by cable car or by just exploring the mountain paths that link up to the many hamlets that lie throughout the valley around Zermatt.
