Since opening Swan House in April 1993, we have specialised in serving modern Anglo-International cuisine. Our dishes are freshly prepared using whenever possible, organic fruits, vegetables and herbs, much of which is grown ourselves in Lesley's orchard gardens opposite the Swan House (pictured right). Meats are generally local and organic or free range.

Lunch and dinner
Our A la Carte menu is served between noon and 2.15pm and dinner between 6.45pm and 9.30pm daily. On Sundays we serve a slightly more traditional menu Sunday lunch Please call 01502 713474 for reservations.

Afternoon tea
After lunch during the summer we serve tea, coffee and cakes. The courtyard and the 'al fresco' pavement restaurant are also open.

Wines and beers
Our bar offers a fine wine list with a selection of over 50 wines together with a fine selection of bottled beers from around the world. Hot mulled wine is served during the winter months, when you can warm yourself by our log fires.

Where to find us
Swan House, a 400 year old former tavern, is prominently located along side the historic Church Tower of St Michaels, in the town's market place. Street parking is available immediately outside Swan House, but is limited to just 30 minutes during the day. There are four car parks all within two minutes walk.

Games and magazines
Chess, backgammon, dominoes, draughts, Chinese chequers, connect four, as well as newspapers and magazines, are always available at the bar for those wishing to enjoy traditional pastimes over a drink.

Reservations
Our dining room is invariably busy, so we recommend reserving a table in advance. We are sorry that our form of licence does not allow children under the age of fourteen. Please call 01502 713474 for reservations.

Gift vouchers
We have introduced our own £5, £10 and £20 vouchers which may also be spent at 'The Marmalade Tree' or 'Bailey's Delicatessen'.

We're open from 11am until 11pm every day except Sunday when we're open from 12 noon and 10.30pm..
